One useful relationship
The Brew Bench uses grams of water per gram of coffee. At 1:16, 30 grams of coffee takes 480 grams of brew water. This is input water, not the final amount in your cup: grounds and equipment retain some of it.
Keep the method in view
Paper filter and cafetière behave differently. We provide editable local presets for those methods. The calculator does not model grind size, temperature, extraction or espresso yield, and it cannot promise the taste of a real coffee.
Change one thing
If a cup feels too strong, try a little more water at the same coffee dose. If flavour is unpleasantly sharp or dry, ratio alone may not solve it; review grind and preparation as well. Write down what you changed and taste again.
A recipe you can keep
Build your starting recipe at the bench and print or download it. The output records dose, ratio, water and method. It stays a local recipe draft and never sends an order or a message.
